Welcome to AQG: Native American Genealogy and
Research Links. Listed below are Links to various
Native American Tribes. My 3rd Great Grandmother
was said to have been 1/2 Cherokee Indian from North
Carolina. She was from the Davis line. I have been trying
to find the information, still with no luck. So I decided to
make this page and dedicate it to all those who are trying
to find their Native American Roots. Ancestor Quest
Genealogy wishes you a fruitful and enjoyable stay.
Good Luck.

Oklahoma Census & Marriages (varied 1860-1929)
These marriage and census records are the results of hard, diligent work done by Mary Kinard. Finding her ancestors as well as those of her friends was her passion. It gave her great pleasure to locate or verify a missing branch in her family tree, whether it was in a library, a cemetery or a court house, for these are the places she loved to treasure hunt. To make research easier for herself as well as for others she spent hundreds of hours first writing the information she read from microfilm then entering this info into her computer, sorting it and printing it.

1840 Cherokee County, North Carolina Census
Cherokee County was formed in 1839 from Macon County.
This is the first census for this county. At this time,
Cherokee County included all of present day Cherokee
County as well as present Graham County and present Clay
County. I transcribed this census from a microfilm copy of
the original census. Please let me know of any errors.
This transcription is placed here for all to use. Any names
marked with an asterisk (*) are names that I had trouble
reading. This census is not complete, I didn't get the
slave enumerations or the Free Colored listings the first
time around, but will get them soon.

This is the 1887 census of the St. Regis Mohawk Indian Reservation which lies on the St. Lawrence River. between Franklin and St. Lawrence Cos. NY. The original is at the National Archives in Washington, and is not alphabetically arranged, except by first name. Some of the spellings are questionable, and there is no other biographical information on the list which would help to differentiate between people with the same name
