The blues are more than just a style of music;
they are about truth, tradition, and personal expression.
The NATIVE AMERICAN MUSIC blues grew out of spirituals
and work songs brought to North America with the African
New Wave slaves. When these forms of African music
collided with European native american music musical
traditions, blues began to take noticeable shape.
Variations of the blues new wave grew out of different
regions of the country, but recorded blues from the
early 1900s is characterized by simple, acoustic guitars
and pianos. As time passed, the blues began to diversify.
Some musicians held onto acoustic traditions, while
the invention of the electric guitar spurred other
bluesmen to explore new territory.
